This
was our booth at Philly. Situated in a corner as far from center
as possible, right outside the mens room (which paid off in the long
run). Cool huh?
That's Jesus Marquez above, doing his best "I'm from the Bronx don't
mess with me" look. The stars of "How Not to Make a Christian
Comic" also
made a rare appearance. |

|
| Wolverine
was one of the first people to stop by, although he got a little
too close for comfort with them there claws. Yowitch! |
 |
The
Flash also stopped by, but was a little creepy.
(Over the Flash's shoulder
you'll see that they placed us directly across from Stacey, the
model from Heavy Metal Magazine.) |
 |
Then
some big foam wrestling creature tried to eat a Megazeen #5! |
 |
"Chester" Fett
loved Megazeen 5. |
 |
"We
don't need to see his identification." |
 |
Jeremy
Zehr with one of the Emperor's Guard. |
 |
"What
do you mean you ran out of Megazeen Con Specials?!?" |
 |
"Commander,
tear this convention apart until you've found those Megazeens! And bring
me the Christians, I want them alive!" |
 |
Of
course the biggest Star Wars star that got turned onto Megazeen was Kenny "R2D2" Baker,
whom we tackled on his way back from the men's room. |

|
John
Hutchison and Mike Hatfield signing promo copies of "The Bear King". |

|
Later,
John & Mike did an impromptu sketch jam with Jesus Marquez on the
floor right next to the booth. Pictured with them are their infinitely
patient wives. |

|
Jesus
Marquez is flabbergasted as Silent Bob enjoys his Megazeen and performs
the infamous Jedi Cigarette Trick. |
 |
Alec
Stevens (right) from "Proverbs and Parables" and "Glory
to God" stopped by and signed some copies Saturday.
Chicks dug the
accent. |

|
Joker
and Harley love Megazeen!
|
 |
Hulk
and Nightcrawler love Megazeen! |
 |
And
Spidey loved Megazeen, but he REALLY loved the models over at Boneyard
Press more. And since when does Spidey wear a fanny pack? I mean come
on! |
 |
When
Christian fanboys go bad... |
 |
Other
gods love Megazeen! |
 |
Satan
HATES Megazeen! |

|
Finally,
just as we're winding down, who strolls up for a Megazeen 5 and Anointed
7 but movie superstar and cutie ROSIE PEREZ!!! |
 |
On
Sunday morning right after our worship time we got our one and only team
shot, in Megazeen style (black n white!).
The artists, from left to right:
Brian Bradley (Anointed
7), Joe Endres (Megazeen), Mike Hatfield and John Hutchinson (Bear
King), Jesus Marquez
(Live by the Sword) and Jeremy
Zehr (who won the Ugly Shirt Award) |
