Eric
Merced is an Illustrator and Comic book Artist based in Worcester MA. He is also the creator and Artist of Dog Saint. Like most Artist in his field, Eric began drawing at an early age. Inspired by the works of Walt Disney cartoons and later on by the works of Comic book Artists such As Art Adams and Mike Mignola, Eric aspired to one day become a professional Comic book Artist. However, in 1997 Eric gave his life completely to Jesus. And for a few years he went without drawing a single comic. Yet he knew that part of his calling to Christ somehow involved his talent to draw. It wasn't until Eric conducted a search in the internet for "Christian Artists and or Comics" that he found there was a World unknown to him out there where he could fit in as a Christian Artist. It was through this search that Eric met and established solid Friendships with many Artists like himself, who were looking to make some kind of impact with their gifts. One day Eric felt the urge to make his own comic based on his own Characters. He made a simple prayer to God that he would grant him inspiration to create a Character of his own, and in one simple sketch, Dog Saint was born.
